A rescue helicopter crew winched two hikers to safety Tuesday after one of them slipped and fell about 15 metres down a cliff in the Scenic Rim region.

A Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) spokesman said a woman sustained an arm and leg injury when she slipped down the rock wall off Mount Greville Road in Moogerah at 2.14pm.

The woman was taken by ambulance to Ipswich Hospital about 5.30pm in a stable condition.

The other hiker was not injured and declined to be taken to hospital.
