Upon arrival the incident was quickly upgraded and as of 7.30am there were 12 crews on scene as well as three senior officers managing the fire, but they were unable to prevent the building collapse.

Queensland Police closed Evans Rd between Toohey Rd and Orange Grove Rd as well as Pentex St while fire crews continue to battle the blaze.

No patients have been reported.

Motorists have been urged to avoid the area.
