A dirt bike rider has suffered life-threatening injuries after crashing south of Brisbane.

A dirt bike rider has suffered life-threatening injuries after crashing in Logan.

The man, aged in his 50s, sustained severe head and facial injuries on New Beith Rd, New Beith, at 2.49pm Sunday.

A spokeswoman for the Queensland Ambulance Service said one man was treated for life-threatening injuries before being taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

New Beith Rd forms a series of popular trails in the Flagstone area.

In 2022, a 15-year-old crashed into a tree and was killed while riding a dirt bike in the same area.
