A young girl has been rushed to hospital with a life-threatening head injury after a multi-vehicle crash in Chandler on Friday.

Emergency crews were called to a four-vehicle crash on Old Cleveland Rd at about 5.45pm where paramedics assessed five patients including an eight-year-old girl in a critical condition.

The girl was taken to the Queensland Children’s Hospital alongside an adult woman and a six-year-old female with minor injuries in stable conditions.

Police are investigating following reports a black Ford Ranger was involved in the crash with the three other vehicles.

A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said the driver of the Ford, a 44-year-old man, was assisting them with their investigations.

Police have urged anyone with dashcam vision of the incident to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.

A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said two crews were called to the scene to assist.
