Emergency service crews, QAS, QFES called to fire following explosion at Oakey Solar Farm

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services have tasked two crews to an incident at the Oakey Solar Farm.

Two crews were called to the scene on Warrego Highway on Wednesday about 9.30am, after initial reports indicated an electrical combiner box exploded.

A spokesman from QFES said crews have extinguished the blaze and were working with site management.

He said fire crews would remain on scene to confirm the area was safe.

Paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service were also called to the incident as a precaution.
