A semi-trailer has run off the road in Cairns clogging up a major thoroughfare in the lead up to peak hour traffic.
A truck ran into a drain along the Cairns Western Arterial road near Lake Morris road at 2.18pm on Tuesday afternoon.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the incident had caused “heavy traffic” in the inbound lane with officers helping with traffic control on scene.
It’s understood that the truck is partially obstructing the road but both lanes remain open at this stage.
