A 23-year-old man has died after being hit by a car near Millstream on Friday morning.

A 23-year-old man who died after being hit by a car near Millstream on Friday morning was lying on the road prior to the accident, police say.
At about 5.20am, a blue Mazda 3 was travelling eastbound along the Kennedy Highway when it struck the man, who was lying on the road.
The Ravenshoe man died at the scene.
Police said the driver of the car was not physically injured and has been co-operating with police investigators.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and has appealed to anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage to come forward immediately.
It is not known why the man was lying on the road at the time of the crash.
The Kennedy Highway was reopened nine hours after the fatal incident, which happened near the Archer Creek Rest Area.
Earlier in the day, police had advised drivers to avoid the crash scene, predicting the highway between Otto Rd and Stubley Rd would be closed for some time. The road remained closed until 2.22pm.
Millstream is located near Ravenshoe, about 120km southwest of Cairns.
The crash follows the death of a 91-year-old woman on the Kennedy Hwy near Atherton in February.
