A motorcyclist has been seriously injured on a major Far North highway. Paramedics were also called to another incident on Saturday.

A MOTORCYCLIST has been seriously injured after a motorcycle crashed with another vehicle on Riverstone Road and Bruce Highway in Gordonvale.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said they received the call at 5.38pm about a motorcyclist who might have had a leg injury.
Paramedics transported the patient with serious injuries to Cairns Base Hospital.
Another patient was also taken to hospital in a separate incident on Far Northern roads on Saturday.
A patient was taken to Mossman Hospital in a stable condition after a single vehicle crash down an embankment on the Captain Cook Highway in Mowbray about 4.38pm.
