Westcourt man charged with driving at police after random breath test in Cairns
A Westcourt man has been refused bail after allegedly driving a vehicle at police officers conducting random breath testing last night.

A Westcourt man who has been refused bail, will face court this morning following an alleged dangerous driving incident in Bungalow on Monday night.
Around 8.20pm the man allegedly drove a Kia Stonic at police who were conducting random breath testing on Aumuller St.
Officers were forced to take evasive action before police allege the vehicle left the scene.
No one was physically injured.
A short time later police found the abandoned Kia Stonic in Manunda.
Investigations led police to a Westcourt address at about 1.30am, where a 20-year-old local man was taken into custody.
He has been charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle, fail to comply with requirement to stop, driving without a licence and possessing dangerous drugs (cannabis).
His bail has been refused and he is expected to appear before Cairns Magistrates Court this morning, May 16.
