Gillies Range Road: Man died in single vehicle crash involving tractor at Lake Barrine

UPDATE: Police have confirmed a man has died in a single-vehicle crash involving a tractor on a Far Northern property.

UPDATE: A 59-year-old man from Tully has died following an accident on a private property in Lake Barrine involving a front bucket tractor.

A Queensland police spokeswoman said police were called to the incident about 2.15pm to reports a man was critically injured.

“Police will prepare a report for a coroner following the death of a man at a Lake Barrine property this afternoon,” she said.

Workplace Health and Safety and Forensic Crash Unit were investigating.

EARLIER: EMERGENCY services have rushed to an accident on a private property involving a person and a tractor.

A Queensland Ambulance Services spokeswoman said paramedics were called to a location off the Gillies Range Road in Lake Barrine about a single-vehicle crash at 2.20pm.

She said it was a pretty serious incident. A patient was assessed with critical injuries.

A Queensland police spokeswoman said Workplace Health and Safety and Special Care Unit had also been called.
