Brisbane Marathon 2024: Full list of road closures in CBD, Kangaroo Point, New Farm and Teneriffe

Traffic chaos is expected on Sunday morning as 10,000 runners take over the streets in the inner-city for the annual Brisbane Marathon. SEE THE FULL LIST OF ROAD CLOSURES

Brisbane Marathon will take place on June 2, 2024.

Police are warning motorists that this weekend’s Brisbane Marathon will see a series of major road closures across the inner-city.

The event will take place on Sunday morning, with more than 10,000 competitors expected to participate.

Roads will be closed in Brisbane City, Kangaroo Point, New Farm and Teneriffe from 3am to 1.30pm, with delays and congestion expected.

All events will start at Margaret Street and finish at the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens.

Police are working with Brisbane City Council and Events Management Queensland to ensure the marathon and all associated events are conducted safely and with minimum disruption to traffic.

Motorists are being urged to avoid travelling anywhere along the marathon route, with detours and diversions in place.
