A man has died after being stabbed in the neck in a western Sydney home.
Emergency services were called to a Layton Street home in Wentworthville about 6.30am on Thursday following reports of a stabbing.
Officers found a 64-year-old man who had been stabbed in the neck.
Despite paramedics attending, the man died at the scene.
He is yet to be formally identified.
A 60-year-old woman was also home at the time of the incident, however she wasn’t injured.
A 34-year-old man was arrested shortly after and taken to Granville Police Station.
Police believe all three people are known to each other.
A crime scene has been established, with investigations ongoing.
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward.
