Pip Edwards spotted on beach date with best friend’s ex

One of Australia’s most beloved influencers has been spotted enjoying a dip at a Sydney beach with her best friend’s ex-boyfriend.

Pip Edwards has been spotted enjoying a day at the beach with her “new boyfriend”, Joshua Clapp.

The fashion entrepreneur has been romantically linked to the interior designer, who has a teenage child with one of Edwards’ best friends, since December when it was claimed the blossoming new relationship had “rocked Sydney’s elite”.

Neither Edwards, nor her supposed new man, have confirmed they are an item. But the pair have been sighted together numerous times since, including their most recent trip to Camp Cove on Sunday.

The pair were photographed taking a dip, with Edwards rocking a mismatched bikini, made up of a black top with pinstriped bottoms.

She accessorised with a single necklace alongside several silver rings and matching bracelets.

Clapp, 52, was seen walking beside the 44-year-old co-founder of activewear brand P.E Nation as the new couple made their way across the sand to return to their towels.

In one photo, Edwards – who now works as the creative director for Ksubi after stepping back from her own brand last year – can be seen adjusting her bikini top.

While in another, the mum-of-one can be seen tying back her short blonde hair, which was wet from being in the water.

Edwards’ purported new relationship with Clapp first hit headlines when it was claimed it had become the latest “scandal” sweeping Sydney’s wealthy eastern suburbs due to her close connection with his ex-partner, well-known personal trainer Leah Simmons.

Clapp and Simmons share a teenage son and have been separated for many years.

But Edwards had a close friendship with Simmons, regularly appearing on each other’s social media feeds, and even supporting each other’s fitness-related business ventures.

Edwards and Clapp have previously been spotted enjoying a stroll in Bondi as well as grabbing coffee together in Double Bay.

The popular fashion designer turned influencer previously dated former cricketer Michael Clarke for less than a year before their romance ended at the start of 2021.

She was later dragged into the former Australian cricket captain’s very public Noosa fracas with his then-partner, Jade Yarbrough, in January 2023.

Clarke made national headlines when the emotionally-charged carpark stoush with Yarbrough was recorded by a bystander and obtained by The Daily Telegraph.

In the footage, Yarbrough could be heard accusing him of “f**king” Edwards while they were together.

At the time, Edwards distanced herself, saying: “This is not my circus. Yet again, Michael in his true nature has not taken responsibility for his actions and I was blatantly lied to.”

She was later said to be dating millionaire businessman Geoff Bainbridge after photos of the pair kissing in New York emerged in September last year.
