Michael Clarke and Pip Edwards’ relationship is over

Cricket legend Michael Clarke and fashion designer Pip Edwards have reportedly broken up, ending their romance after less than a year.

Michael Clarke and Pip Edwards have ended their relationship after less than a year, according to reports.

The former Australian cricket captain and fashion designer started dating after Clarke split from his wife of seven years, Kylie Boldy, but it won’t be a case of happily-ever-after for the pair.

The Daily Telegraph reports there is no bad blood between the former couple, but the relationship has run its course.

“They were great friends and had a great time together, and I’m sure they will remain friends,” a friend told the publication.

“There is definitely no animosity.”

When contacted, Edwards told The Daily Mail: “No comment, no comment at all.”

Clarke and Edwards, the founder of P.E. Nation, confirmed their relationship in June last year and have regularly posted a string of happy snaps to their respective social media pages.

In December they held a lavish party on board a $15 million superyacht to celebrate Clarke being appointed an officer in the general division of the Order of Australia, as part of the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.

Clarke and Edwards holidayed together with their children, who they have from previous relationships. Clarke co-parents young daughter Kelsey-Lee with Boldy, while Edwards has a teenage son, Justice Maximus, with fellow fashion designer Dan Single.

Edwards showed on Boxing Day she was settling into the family lifestyle after uploading a photo to her Instagram account, showing her and Kelsey-Lee enjoying a girl’s night in.

As Edwards posed for the photo, Kelsey-Lee and two of her friends sitting on the kitchen bench displayed peace signs as the snap was taken.

But all good things must come to an end.

The former couple knew how to throw a party.

In February last year Clarke and Boldy confirmed they were separating after seven years of marriage.

“After living apart for some time, we have made the difficult decision to ­separate as a couple, amicably,” a joint statement read.

“With the greatest of respect for each other, we’ve come to the ­mutual conclusion that this is the best course for us to take while committed to the co-parenting of our daughter.”

Clarke and Kyly went to school together at Sydney’s Westfields Sports High, but didn’t start dating until many years later, after Clarke’s engagement with Lara Worthington (nee Bingle) was broken off in 2010.
