Beloved entertainer Emma Watkins has opened up on childhood bullying and the important advice she wants young fans to know.
In an interview for The Courier-Mail’s online series, Tiny Edition, where children interview celebrities, the former Wiggle tells nine-year-old Saffron Deacon her school experience.
“At school I was a little bit picked on because I was a bit nerdy … I loved school a lot and I used to wear glasses, well, I still wear glasses now,” she tells Saffie before offering her best ways to handle bullies.
“I think some children don’t know how to relate to other children who have something different to them but my advice is to always be yourself and know your family and your support network around you love you for who you are.”
Throughout the adorable interview, Saffie asks the big questions like if the perpetually sunny Watkins ever gets angry, the inspiration behind new character Emma Memma and what surprising gifts she’s received from fans.
Tiny Edition features little interviewers putting big questions to celebrities, such as Jordan Riki, with upcoming stars including Dami Im, Wally Lewis and Emma and Amy Sheppard.
