One Aussie woman has shared footage to social media of a surprise visit from one of Australia’s iconic native animals on her roof.
The woman was woken to dogs barking and loud noises and thought someone was breaking into her home only to find the plucky marsupial perched on her roof.
Concealed in the shadows to start, the wallaby could be heard jumping loudly on the classic Australian tin roof before pausing at the corner to inspect a way down.
“How the f*** did you get up there,” the woman says in the video.
“Woke up at 4:30am to our dogs barking and strange noises on the roof, thought someone was trying to break in – but it was just this bull**** kangaroo. ON. OUR. ROOF,” the post was captioned.
The small wallaby gained quite a bit of attention on Reddit with multiple commenters pointing out that this could “only happen in Australia” and even being dubbed as “santaroo”.
“How did it get up there?! Wallaby must be able to jump pretty high,” one commenter said.
“Bloody hell that must’ve been noisy, and I thought possums were loud,” another said.
The woman proceeded to inform commenters that after 30 minutes of “stomping around” the wallaby jumped straight down into the neighbours backyard.
How the wallaby got onto the roof in the first place?
That remains a mystery.
