A Tully fisherman in Queensland’s north has felt the wrath of a grumpy freshwater crocodile after accidentally snagging one on his lure.
The video, posted on the TikTok account Snag Addict asked what viewers would do in a similar situation after sharing the footage captured by Daniel Colombini.
“Daniel was fishing and accidentally hooked a crocodile in the arm. He didn’t want the crocodile to have a hook left in its arm and cut the line,” the post read.
The captured footage shows the frightened fisherman screaming after discovering he hooked a disgruntled freshwater crocodile.
“If he gets hold of you … bro,” a voice in the background said.
“He’s strong,” Mr Colombini said.
A minute later the footage showed Mr Colombini’s hand, now with bite marks on it.
“C*** I just got bitten by a f***ing crocodile.”
The crocodile can then be seen walking back into the water seemingly unfazed by the experience.
It is illegal to possess a crocodile in Queensland without an appropriate permit.
