The family of Drew Douglas has broken their silence after the mum-of-four was allegedly stabbed to death by her partner.

There are 5 different types of domestic abuse

One month ago, Drew Douglas gave birth to her fourth child.

Today, the 31-year-old mum is dead, allegedly stabbed by her partner Shaun King in their St Marys home in Sydney’s west.

It was Wednesday at 6:45am when police, responding to a triple zero call, found the young woman with multiple stab wounds to her chest.

Paramedics tried to save her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Forty-five minutes after the horrific discovery, Shaun King turned himself in to police and was charged with Drew’s murder.

Drew’s sister Jade took to social media on Thursday, sharing her grief over the tragic loss.

“I’m broken, shattered and numb,” she wrote.

“My family does not deserve this. My sister didn’t deserve this. I love you sissy.”

Police investigate stabbing death of mum-of-four

Police are investigating Drew’s death, in particular a triple zero call made by King to police a handful of hours before he allegedly stabbed her to death.

It’s understood that King called police on Tuesday evening at 8:40pm, saying he had concerns for his welfare. NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Leanne McCusker said police failed to follow up on the call.

On Thursday, King appeared in Campbelltown Local Court, represented by lawyer Kamal Hamka, who requested that the court adjourn the matter for eight weeks to give the prosecution time to serve an evidence brief.

The magistrate agreed to the adjournment.

King did not apply for bail and will remain on remand until October 18, when he’ll appear before Penrith Court.

More to come.
