A NSW mum-of-three has taken to Instagram to show off the next-level third birthday party she threw for her daughter.
Emily Douna shared photos and footage from the event – held over the long weekend – with her 90,000 followers yesterday, explaining in the captions that the party was inspired by Netflix’s Regency-era drama Bridgerton.
“Tell me your mum just finished watching Bridgerton without telling me your mum just finishing watching Bridgerton,” Douna wrote alongside a video of the party.
The party was replete with a high tea, a backdrop made of hanging white flowers, and a sign that read: “Lady Chloe Elizabeth formally welcomes you to her 3rd birthday soiree.”
Copies of “Lady Whistledown’s Society Papers” – which fans of the show are very familiar with – could also be seen on the table.
Dozens of Ms Douna’s followers took to the comments to praise the mum on the “gorgeous” party, adding that they “love this theme”.
“OMG this is the best ever! Haha I’m obsessed #bridgertongoals happy birthday sweetheart,” one wrote.
“Or should I say … season’s diamond.”
“How sweet! I would’ve loved this is as a little girl,” wrote another.
“This is just so cute, I can’t cope,” commented a third.
It’s likely the mum won’t be the only one throwing a Bridgerton-themed party; according to data from Netflix earlier this month, the show’s second season became the streamer’s third-most popular English-language TV series just 17 days after landing on the platform.
