My top summer clothing picks from Best&Less

Best&Less pieces have been all over social media lately. But, which ones are actually worth your money?

When it comes to the affordable clothing game, social media would tell you that Kmart and Target are a full head and shoulders above their competition.

But this spring, you may have noticed an underdog making waves, and it’s one we all know well - Best&Less.

Best&Less has long been known for their adorable - and affordable - kids clothing in particular. But, does their womenswear hold up? We put it to the test.

Is Best&Less really the best?

As Aussies start to build their spring and summer wardrobes for 2025, TikTok has been flooded with recommendations from creators.

Among them are picks from small businesses and big brands, and at price points on both ends of the spectrum.

But, with a cost of living crisis still crushing the budgets of many, it’s those affordable brands like Best&Less that are becoming more prevalent than ever.

Thankfully, it seems they got the memo, with dupes and ‘trendier’ designs hitting shelves. But, are they really worth your hard earned cash?

Womens Shift Mini Dress ($20)

Starting off with one of my favourite pieces from the line - the Womens Shift Mini Dress.

This dress comes in two different prints. This one in particular with the chocolate brown base and cream coloured spots is super on trend at the moment, and one of the things that drew me to give Best&Less a go in the first place.

I will say, this dress is on the shorter side and might not be for you if you’re any taller than me. If you don’t mind a bit of a boxy fit, I would recommend sizing up.

But, that doesn’t mean the dress isn’t absolutely adorable. The quality feels quite good for the price, and I think it’s a great elevated casual option.

Womens Scoop Neck Rib Tank ($12)

Since I got this top, I genuinely haven’t stopped wearing it!

The Womens Scoop Neck Rib Tank, in the dark brown shade, is excellent quality for the price, and has a really flattering fit. I have a long torso, and this top finishes right around my waist - so you don’t have to worry about anything being cropped here.

I have also fallen in love with their Womens Baby Tee - specifically in light grey marle. It’s not see-through at all and has the most perfect fit for a baby tee.

If you take anything from this article, don’t bypass Best&Less basics!

Womens Henley Tank ($14)

Best&Less has also come out with a range of elevated basics and workwear options, like the Womens Henley Tank.

This piece is just $14, and comes in light purple (though it looks more blue to me), medium brown, and light orange.

It’s stretchy and soft, and while some of the similar pieces in the collection felt ill-fitting to me, this one was perfect.

I prefer it with the buttons undone, but you can also keep them done up to create two different looks.

Womens Printed Tank Top ($18) and Womens Drawstring Short ($18)

One of the most viral Best&Less categories this year has been their sets, and I can see why!

They’ve come out with a huge variety of pieces - from dresses to pants, shorts, button-ups and singlets - in the same couple of patterns, so you can mix and match to your heart’s content.

I will admit, this pattern is not my favourite of the bunch, however I found the sizing to be accurate and the fit flattering. I think it's a great option if you want to be able to use pieces in lots of different ways, and really get your money’s worth.
