MAFS couple Bryce and Melissa get married in stunning beachside wedding

Here are all the details, including behind-the-scenes footage of a hilarious moment during the couples' first dance. 

When Melissa walked down the aisle in 2021, she didn't know who was waiting for her at the altar.

Now two years later, the reality star finally said 'I do' with confidence, marrying her TV husband, Bryce, last week.

A stunning dress and a MAFS detail

Melissa, 34, and Bryce, 33, officially tied the knot last Friday in a beachside wedding in Sorrento, Victoria. 

According to guests, Bryce cried during his vows as he thanks Melissa for "making [him] a better person."

The MAFS Season Eight alumni shared the exciting news on their Instagrams, captioning their joint post: "Mr & Mrs Ruthven 💍"

Melissa wore a strapless, glittering Maggie Sottero dress with a sweetheart neckline, plunging back and metre-long train. 

In a touching nod to her time on MAFS, Melissa's veil was pinned to her ponytail with the same headpiece she wore for her TV wedding! So sweet!

Bryce kept his look beachy casual with a beige blazer, unbuttoned white shirt and beige chinos.

The couple's 16-month-old twin boys, Levi and Tate, were also involved in their parents' big day and matched their dad's outfit with matching white shirts and beige shorts. 

Melissa previously told The Herald Sun that her boys would play an important role in their ceremony. "We are hoping they are going to be walking and will be walking down the aisle with us," she said.

Their hilarious first dance

Melissa shared various snippets from the night on her Instagram - including a hilarious moment from the reception.

During the pair's first dance, Bryce dipped Melissa but got lost in the moment and accidentally dropped her on the ground. 

The duo laughed it off and were met with cheers of encouragement after Bryce pulled her back up and continued dancing. 

She captioned the clip, "Head over heels for each other. ♥" 

Someone commented, joking, "You'd fallen for each other," while another said, "You handled this so well, go you!"

Fellow MAFS co-star, Belinda Wickers also shared some BTS snaps to her Instagram account, including one of Melissa in a green sequined outfit,  adorned with feathers.  

The wedding's guest list included Jason Engler, Nick Furphy and Steve Burley.

Congratulations flow in

The couple received plenty of congratulations on their Instagram post, from both co-stars and fans alike.

"Wow absolutely stunning – have followed you both since MAFS, so happy for you," one follower wrote.

And Bachelorette star, Jackson Garlick wrote, "Would’ve loved to see the wedding rings on your middle fingers so you could show that to all the haters. Congrats!!!"

"The couple no one gave a chance, who's laughing now!" echoed someone else. 

And MAFS groom, Jackson Lonie wrote, "Congrats guys!"

"All the best you two beautiful people!!" replied a different woman.

The couple's time on MAFS didn't go without its fair share of controversy. Viewers claimed that the relationship that was portrayed on TV showed signs of "gaslighting." 

The pair faced backlash for their seemingly "abusive" relationship and many criticised the experts for not intervening more. 

Melissa and Bryce still continued their relationship after the show, announcing their engagement in 2021 and welcoming their twin sons in the same year. 

Melissa told New Idea, "It's been a whirlwind, but we're so incredibly happy."
