I had to breastfeed my husband for three days, it was so awkward

"You know that part in your marriage vows, 'for better or for worse', well I had to take my husband up on that."

I had to breastfeed my husband for three days

When you’ve been married for a long time, there’s not many boundaries when it comes to bodily functions.

Whether that’s peeing with the bathroom door open or the fact that they’ve seen you give birth to a human before.

But a mum-of-four has shared how she had to put her marriage to the test when she asked her husband to breastfeed.

“So you know the part in your marriage vows, 'for better or for worse', well I had to take my husband up on that,” content creator, Janelle McAloon, shares in her viral TikTok video.

"My boobs were on fire"

Janelle went on to explain that she and her husband, Joshua, were away for a child-free holiday for four days.

“I’m breastfeeding and I forget to pack my pump for whatever reason,” Janelle shares.

But it was only a matter of hours before she felt like her “boobs were on fire”.

“By the first day I was like Josh I need you to help me out and that’s what he did,” she says, laughing.

“I’m here to tell you I had to breastfeed my husband.”

While some followers questioned why Janelle hadn’t simply hand expressed, she explained: "I tried so hard but for some reason it wasn’t working until I had some suction going before.”

She added, “Desperate times call for desperate measures.”

"I also breastfeed my sister's baby"

Needless to say, people found it hilarious that Janelle’s husband had stepped up to the plate.

"I think this falls under the for 'Sickness and Health' part," one person joked.

“He has a great immune system now,” another person added.

“Probably the best vacation ever for your husband,” someone else quipped.

And it’s not the first time Janelle’s breastfeeding experience has hit the headlines.

Last year, she shared a video showing how she often feeds her sister’s baby boy - hitting back at critics who called it strange and unnatural.

"My sister just got done breastfeeding her baby and he was still hungry, he wanted more milk, she didn’t have enough so I was like ‘give him to me, I will feed him for you’,” Janelle said at the time.

“No it’s not an everyday thing, I’m not feeding him all the time but I will help her and I know she would do the same thing for me. It shouldn’t be considered weird to people, it’s literally just milk it’s nutrients for the baby.”

Many others agreed, with one saying: “My husband's aunt wet nursed our youngest when I was sick and not producing. I've also wet nursed 2 other babies when needed. Be the village!”
