I used my Cricut to turn my $15 Kmart water bottle into a $60 frank green one

Despite making the logo nearly identical, the woman changed one small detail... so can you spot it?

Frank Green mystery boxes go viral

If you've ever wondered whether or not you should buy the $15 Kmart dupe for the $60 1L frank green water bottle, we're here to tell you that you can have both!

No, we don't mean buying both of them for $75, although that would still be cheaper than buying the $90 2L one... but we digress.

Enter: The 'Fake Green'

The idea came from one crafty mum in the Kmart Hacks and Decor group.

The keen DIYer, Amanda, set out on a mission to create her very own frank green water bottle using just the Kmart bottle and her trusty Cricut machine.

Introducing the 'Fake Green' water bottle

Amanda took to the group to share a photo of her creation, with the caption: "Jazzed up my Kmart bottle."

The mum used her Cricut machine to craft an identical logo, using the Monogram Maker feature in Cricut's software Design Space.

And even though the text on the bottle looks like the real deal, she did add one small, hilarious twist.

Instead of the coveted 'frank green' logo, it read: 'Fake Green.'

"All the letters are already there in the logo. Just cut what you need," she said, explaining how she made the alteration.

While the quality of this dupe product may not be at the same level as the frank green bottles, it's an alternative for those that can't afford the item.

It's the stuff that would make die-hard frank green fans cringe, including her daughter, according to Amanda.

"My kid (who owns the real one) hates me 😂," she wrote.

'You're a magician!'

The moment she posted her masterpiece in the group her "notifications have gone mental," she wrote in an update.

It received over 3.6k likes and 250+ comments with everyone getting a good old giggle and vowing to give it a go themselves.

"This is my favourite thing EVER, you're a literal genius," remarked one group member.

"Isn’t it funny that our kids have a real one and there we are with our fake one! Great job!" another said.

Then this person wrote: "LMAO, now I just need to get a Cricut," while someone else said, "Time to get my machine out."

'Are you selling these?!'

"Just as good, but a whole lot cheaper. My Kmart one keeps water and ice cold for ages," shared another woman.

"You're a magician! I refused to buy one for my 10-year-old because we go through bottles like they are going out of fashion. I'd so do this, but she'd be mortified! I'd get the eye roll," a fellow mum admitted.

Someone even asked if the mum would consider selling the knock-off labels.

"Can I buy some of these labels from you?" someone asked. "Are these for sale," asked another

If so - we'd definitely be her first customer!
