"Went to Costco today to buy our kids lunch snacks - we have three at school," she began her post.

She then explains that she spent, "$82 on the kid's snack food and put them into sandwich zip-lock bags which made 79 lunches plus leaving a whole heap of spares that will last us the month."

She then shared a photo of the receipt with some of the prices, for example, the 80-pack of Sunkist fruit snacks came to just $18.99, 66 packets of chips were just $21.99 and 24 mango cups came to $21.99.

Keryn then posted a photo of a cardboard box full of individually zip-locked snack packs, which included an assortment of the different items.

"I still need to add their fruit and sandwiches," Keryn wrote.

"Yesss Mama, love it!"

Fellow group members were in awe of her price-cutting tips, with one person even calling her a "lifesaver."

"Such a good time-saving hack as well, already in bags," someone pointed out.

"Yesss Mama, love it! Good idea," wrote another.

"Love your post, thanks for sharing," said a third.

And then this woman added, "OOO my daughter starts kindy next year, will definitely be stocking up for school snacks."

Then this mum asked: "Why are they in plastic bags when they all come in wrappers?"

Keryn replied: "So my kids can grab them and put them in their lunch boxes. Otherwise, they’ll just grab whatever. They can bring the zip-lock bags back too."

Nice one!
