‘Fantastic’: Bunnings reveals $9 item flying off shelves

Getting the perfect edges when painting is no easy feat, but one Bunnings product pledges to help solve that problem.
Bunnings took to TikTok to reveal the Monarch Pad Edger, which retails for $8.50, and helps get edges of windows and walls perfect while painting.
The tool has a pad that is dipped into paint and a roller that makes it run smoothly along the surface with crisp, straight edges.
It was created to help cut down on time and mess when it came to painting.
The voice over, pulled from another clip, said: “This is my favourite thing ever in the history of forever. I think about this every day. I think about this all night long. I stay awake, not sleeping, because I am thinking about this.”
The video, which has been viewed more than two million times, attracted quite a bit of commentary from social media users.
“This thing is so good I actually considered using it for the whole wall,” one person commented.
Another said: “Seems to be always out of stock when we need one.”
“No matter what I do. It makes a huge mess,” one person complained.
Another social media user commented: “I used one of these a few months ago – epic results!”
One said it was great until the pad was washed, while another revealed they had used it just an hour ago. The social media user described the tool as “fantastic” and they would no longer tape the walls.
“Why did I just see this as we have finished painting our home this week,” another said.

“The nifty tool is a top pick right now, with over two million views of our recent TikTok and nearly a third of customers telling us they are planning to get stuck into a paint project this Easter.”
