BIN 72
From well-respected restaurateurs Daniel and Ruggie Ridgeway (Little Truffle, Mermaid Beach) comes this beach-facing, industrial-inspired tapas bar and eatery.
Upstairs at The Strand shopping centre, the casual and lively space offers a share-style menu with dishes such as salt and pepper squid with yuzu mayo, popcorn chicken as well as prawn-stuffed zucchini flowers, alongside salads, steaks, ribs and more.

FRANCIE’S PIZZERIA
Named after chef-owner Tony Pattinson’s grandmother, this neo-Neapolitan pizzeria serves up traditional wood-fired pies from their imported Stefano Ferrara oven, alongside a small collection of antipasti and focaccia.
With barely more than footpath dining, it’s a no-frills fit-out with the focus instead on quality food.
Vegans are also well catered to with a special plant-based menu of pizze and small plates.

SOUTHEAST ESPRESSO
Shabby chic with a coastal twist, this relaxed and welcoming cafe offers classic milk bar vibes and old-fashioned service to match.
The breakfast and lunch menu is dedicated to organic and locally sourced ingredients and delivers on flavour with everything from favourites like smashed avo with mushrooms to clever new options such as vegan chilli soba noodles.
Smooth Ground Control Organic coffee is on pour alongside old-school milkshakes, Hrvst juices and Probiotic Kitchen kombucha.

GREENHOUSE CANTEEN + BAR
Vegans have fallen in love with this entirely plant-based eatery that takes classic dishes and gives them a meat-free twist.
Take a seat in the light-filled, greenhouse-style space out the back and you’ll find fare such as macaroni ‘n’ cheese, tacos, burgers and cauliflower wings.
Vegan wine, beer and cocktails are also in play, alongside non-alcoholic options such as house made lemonade and drinking coconuts.

THE JUNGLE MEXICAN CANTINA
For a restaurant to last more than 30 years, it must be doing something right, and they certainly are if you ask their loyal diners.
Serving San Diego-style Tex Mex, the fuss-free eatery prefers to bake their dishes, rather than fry them resulting in healthier dishes such as their chimichanga which can be filled with everything from chicken to beans.
But the biggest drawcard for the casual restaurant is that it still remains BYO after more than three decades.
