Self-confessed chocolate-lover Nicola Crisafulli, 11, said she would be thrilled to see Australia dedicate a day to delicious treats.

“I think chocolate cake here is really popular, so it makes sense to have a holiday,” Nicola said.

“I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad chocolate cake … I love chocolate, I have a sweet-tooth.”

While the 11-year-old said it was important to eat healthily, she said it was also good to indulge.
