CHOCOHOLICS rejoice, the highly anticipated new fourth variety of chocolate, Ruby, is finally coming to Brisbane
With its stunning pink colour and interesting berry-like taste, the first new chocolate to be discovered in more than 80 years has become the talk of confectioners and sweet tooths around the world.
And now Brisbane choccie lovers will get to experience it for themselves at the San Churro store in Toowong, in the city’s west from September 10.
The chocolate outlet is launching a new Ruby menu with everything from a Ruby shake and truffles, to Ruby-covered churros and rocky road.
They’ll also be hosting special chocolate experiences in store, with the $35, one-hour ticketed events seeing guests taste the raspberry-hued chocolate and learn about the history of chocolate and how the new variety differs from dark, milk and white styles. They will then be fed Spanish churros covered in Ruby chocolate.
“Ruby is the newest chocolate discovery... and arguably the biggest thing to happen to the confectionery industry this millennium,” said San Churro CEO Giro Maurici.
People can book the experience now via the San Churro website, or head in store from September 10.
