Brisbane’s award-winning Calile Hotel will soon have a sister venue in Noosa, with plans for a Sunshine Coast version of the luxury resort approved by local council.
Works will commence early next year on the 2.4 hectare site located along Serenity Cl in the tourism hotspot, following two years of community consultations.
“We worked collaboratively with the Noosa Council and finetuned the scheme to ensure we addressed the planning scheme and community expectations,” said The Calile co-owner and CMI Director Michael Malouf.
Designed by acclaimed architects Richards & Spence, responsible for the Fortitude Valley property, the new resort hidden among bushland will feature 153 rooms, 29 suites and four three-bedroom villas.
It will also include a 50m main swimming pool, plus a second quiet pool in a private garden, comprehensive wellness facilities and function spaces.
All hotel rooms will be significantly larger than its James St sibling, with a standard room starting at 45m2.
The second Calile will hope to achieve some of the success of the first, with the luxury property named the top 25th hotel in the world and best in Oceania in this year’s World’s 50 Best Hotels list, while also attracting a plethora of A-list celebrity guests including U2, George Clooney and Julia Roberts since it opened six years ago.
Buildcorp will be behind the construction with the development predicted to take three years.
