ELEVEN ROOFTOP BAR

Snuggle up in a premium corner booth, perch yourself on couches along the balcony or stake a spot among the trees near the bar for some A-grade people watching. Graze all day from share plates or enjoy the full a la carte experience at lunch and dinner. Nights are pumping but Eleven also captures Brisbane’s enviable climate with lazy Sunday afternoons of seafood platters, wine and DJs spinning vinyl.

THE TERRACE

Brisbane’s newest rooftop bar welcomes the public from Wednesday but hotel guests and residents have been lapping up its faux fur-trimmed bar stools, retractable glass roof, walls of foliage, digitally backlit white onyx floor and jaw-dropping views that extend over the city and along the Brisbane River’s reach. Open from 6.30am for breakfast and late into the night for dinner and cocktails.

UP ON CONSTANCE

Sadly, the bottles of Veuve Clicquot that comprise the venue’s signature “UP” wall art are empty but the bar is fully stocked with domestic and imported wines and beers, refreshing cocktails and top-shelf spirits. Patterned ottomans and couches recall a Moroccan design aesthetic with hanging plants, paper lanterns and views across the inner-city guaranteeing chilled afternoons segue seamlessly into fun nights out.

SIXTEEN ANTLERS

As the sun goes down and the lights of the CBD start to twinkle, this hotel bar really comes into its own. Views extend over King George Square with the 16th floor bar welcoming guests and visitors from mid-afternoon. Book a booth or pull a stool up to the high bar tables and enjoy a boutique beer, glass of wine or unique cocktail with a selection of tapas and share platters crafted by the hotel’s kitchen.

EAGLES NEST BRISBANE

One of the most exclusive rooftop bars in the city, Eagles Nest only opens to the public from 3pm Friday and Sunday. The 12th-storey bar celebrates its prime position with views over Kangaroo Point and the city skyline. Feast on the global delights of Spanish albondigas, Japanese karaage, Moroccan koftas and Indian aloo tikki while sipping from the cocktail list on peach gin fizz, watermelon lychee cooler and passionfruit caipiroska.
