One of Melbourne’s most acclaimed fine dining restaurants is coming to Queensland … but with a twist.
The award-winning Atlas Dining, which is famous for changing its cuisine every four months, is bringing its Covid-born meal kits to the Sunshine State for the first time.
Within 48 hours of the first coronavirus lockdown in Melbourne in 2020, Atlas chef and owner Charlie Carrington, along with brother Ben, launched a premium at home recipe box, where fresh produce and recipe cards are delivered to your door weekly to turn into chef-quality meals.
The concept has since boomed, moving into NSW and the ACT, and now it’s Queensland’s turn.
“To us, as the biggest foodies ever, we’re really trying to elevate the meal plan space to new heights. This means really honouring food, fresh and seasonal produce, our Australian suppliers, while also teaching home cooks a thing or two,” Charlie Carrington said.
As with the restaurant, the Atlas Weekly meal kits offer recipes from all corners of the globe, keeping things interesting for diners.
The boxes will first launch into the Gold Coast and Brisbane within the next six months, with the plan to expand the delivery network as far north as Port Douglas.
“Our parents have a property in Port Douglas. Our dad, particularly, is Port Douglas mad, so the goal will be to eventually deliver him an Atlas Weekly box every week,” said Ben.
