Queensland’s top adult industry stars are making tens of thousands of dollars a month on OnlyFans, but sometimes it has come at a serious cost.

OnlyFans has exploded over the last few years, with Queensland’s top creators earning tens of thousands of dollars a month from posting raunchy content on the platform.
However despite their success, they say the path to success isn’t easy with some cut off from their families while others have found their social circles are now smaller after joining the platform.
Mr Iconic, aka Chris, is a Gold Coast father-of-two, award-winning pornstar and one of the state’s top earning OnlyFans stars.
Raking in an average of $40,000 a month, Mr Iconic was named the Best Male Porn Star in the Adult Industry Choice Awards two years in a row.
But it hasn’t been all easy. Creating pornographic content has attracted criticism from his family, some of which have now cut him off completely.
“At first they were shocked and until now they are partially accepting of what I do,” he said.
“I have had to endure a lot of criticism and some family not wanting to involve themselves with me any more but what matters most to me is the close family and friends that I have accepting what I do and realising that I am actually running a legitimate and successful business.”
Chris said his journey into OnlyFans started after he learned just how lucrative the business could be.
“I am a Professional Photographer and I was doing a lot of work for female creators by way of photographing them and filming them,” he said.
“I had a good network of creators that I knew that were more than happy to collaborate with me and I just started. I posted and marketed myself as much as I could.”
Chris entered the adult industry while his children were still young, and despite wanting to wait for the right time to tell them, his son discovered the truth about how his dad earns a living by searching his name on the internet.
“I started after I had them and at first I was hesitant to say anything as I wanted to find the right time to explain it to them but my son has a very curious personality and decided to search my name on the internet and found out my title,” he said.
“Thankfully we have age restrictions set on their devices so he could only read about what I do and not view what I do.”
Mr Iconic said he follows a strict daily exercise regimen to ensure he stays in peak condition.
Brunette Barbie, aka Priscilla, has said that moving to OnlyFans was a natural progression for her, with Snapchat Premium originally a way for her to monetise her content.
“So I’ve always been the type of Instagram influencer that posts lingerie or bikini pics or content a little bit too cheeky for public social media,” she said.
“Not long after being of legal age I started with Snapchat premium because I thought well as well make money for literally posting the same things I’m posting on Instagram.”
Now nearly three years later, Priscilla is making anywhere from $3000 to $15,000 a month through OnlyFans. She has said that she doesn’t plan to leave the industry as it is guaranteed income for her.
“But I feel like now going to a point where I can’t really remove myself from the industry or especially OnlyFans, I wouldn’t want to do that to my fans and I would be silly to lose that income,” she said.
Priscilla’s parents are supportive, with her mum sometimes assisting on photo shoots.
“I was pretty lucky with having support from my close support system, my parents are fully aware of my job and what I do,” she said.
“There is probably family that know about it but do not talk to me about it and probably have no positive thoughts but with everything there’s always people who don’t like your every move.
“If anything me having OnlyFans has inspired girls I know and my own girlfriends to be independent and create their own fast cash.
“I am very transparent with my parents and we have a very close family union.”
Shelby has said financial troubles made her turn to OnlyFans nearly two years ago.
“To be honest I was struggling to get a new car as mine had just broke down and I knew even working 40+ hours at the job I had wouldn’t cut it and I still wouldn’t be able to save, so I made and OnlyFans,” she said.
“(I) earned around 5k on the first day. Nearly two years later and best decision I made.”
Shelby makes an average of around $8000 a month.
She has said both her family and friends are the exception to the norm, with everyone generally supportive of her choice to run a OnlyFans business.

• Be prepared face criticism
• Ignore what people say as their comments don’t pay your bills
• Schedule messages and posts for people to make life easier.
• Keep yourself active, make sure to maintain your fitness
• If things get crazy hire an assistant
• Get tested at least once a month for STD's
• Plan your content ahead of time
