DOUGHNUTS and cocktails anyone? From Thursday, that’s exactly what’s on the menu at Nodo Donut Newstead.
The popular, gluten-free, baked doughnut destination is poised to launch a boozy brunch complete with gluten free, organic and fair trade cocktails.
They will be paired with the existing cafe-style menu items and doughnuts.
Expect Nodo Donut martinis, acai spritzers, mandarin mimosas, native G&Ts, and Cuba Libres — a take on the classic rum and Coke, but with a native twist.
Sticking to their commitment to using all-natural ingredients; all spirits, boutique beers and ciders are gluten-free, organic, and fair trade.
Nodo’s head chef, now general manager, Rhys Crowley says his team is passionate about “ethical alcohol”.
“We’re very excited to be working with some unique craft alcohol producers and suppliers to provide a dedicated gluten free, local and organic drinks menu to match our famous brunch,” he says.
“We’ve worked very hard to source producers who are passionate about ethical alcohol that’s fun, including fair trade cacao liqueur from Peru, native spiced butterfly pea flower gin, and collaborative farming champagne from South Australia.”
Nodo Newstead’s menu includes meals that are gluten free, vegan, dairy free and vegetarian.
Nodo Boozy Brunch will kick off from Thursday, July 25.
