A Brisbane Grill'd regular was shocked to received a heartfelt message on his takeaway food bag after a short hiatus from his usual ordering.
The customer shared his surprise on social media after receiving the message from Kenmore Grill'd staff.
The man claimed he’d been working night shifts which had put a halt to his usual orders.
“Oh how we have missed you these past few days”, the writing on the bag read.
“We long for the days we see your order up on screen.
“Please don’t leave us again, we would simply miss you too much.
“We hope you are well and have a great weekend, all our love Grill'd Kenmore.”
The man shared the message with an emotional reply of his own.
“I sincerely apologise for any pain I have inadvertently caused you,” he wrote.
“I failed to communicate that I was doing a few weeks of working nights, so I would be available for you less.
“Please accept my heartfelt apology and I look forward to a continuing and meaningful relationship with you.
“P.s. I’m going away for three weeks, so I won’t see you for a while but I’ll make sure to pop in before I leave.”
The post received plenty of attention from fellow community members who delighted in the show of appreciation.
One wrote, “Please keep us posted how this progresses. Maybe you could start a regular post … Love at first bite.”
Another said, “Order regularly from Grill'd and this could be your story.”
While one community page follower lamented they had never received a note, “I ordered Grill'd every day for 3 weeks from Kenmore … exact same order Wednesday thru to Sunday. Not a single love note …”
