Coronavirus: Drive-through hand sanitiser pop-up launches in Woolloongabba

A drive-through hand sanitiser pop-up will arrive in Brisbane this week selling hospital grade product. Find out where, when and how you can get your hands on some.

A drive-through pop-up exclusively selling hand sanitiser will open to the public at Woolloongabba this Thursday.

Created by the team behind Get Parked, the newly created business, Get Sanitised, will sell hospital grade sanitiser made locally in West End by Brisbane Distillery.

The company recently began producing hand sanitiser instead of gin in response to widespread shortages during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The pop-up at 73 Ipswich Rd, Woolloongabba, will be a drive-through, contactless facility selling sanitiser in a variety of sizes: 500mL for $24.90, 5L for $145 or 20l for $425.

Purchases can be made online prior or on the day.

It will be open this Thursday-Sunday from 9am-4pm.

The sanitiser for sale is hospital grade, made of 80% alcohol and kills 99.99% of germs and bacteria. It is also a non-gel formula so won’t leave any residue.

On Sunday, each sanitiser purchase will come with free Easter eggs for the kids which will all be delivered in a social-distance appropriate method with the eggs rolled down a 1.5 metre tube to each child in the car (while stocks last).

Get Sanitised will also be an employment opportunity for those who have recently lost jobs and has plans to open additional drive-throughs in North Brisbane as well as in the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast areas.
