We’ve compiled a massive list of how you can get involved in the Brisbane Cycling Festival, no matter whether you’re a spectator, competitor or you’re looking for a fun day out with your family.

Oceania Championships

Date: Until 1 April

The Oceania Championships promise to be an exciting series of races, with championship titles contested for BMX Freestyle, Mountain Bike Cross Country, Mountain Bike Downhill, Para-cycling, Road and Track.

Uci Gran Fondo Time Trial World Qualifier

Venue: Brisbane Koala Bushlands Park, Burbank

Date: March 30

Price: $50

Riders born before 2004 are eligible to participate in the time trial. Those that finish in the top 20 per cent of their age group will be given the opportunity to participate in the 2023 World Championships.

Junior Bike Riding Skills

Price: Free Entry

Young riders will be taught by specialist instructors on how to ride safely while on Queensland’s bikeways.

Price: $10.00

Ride for yourself, for charity or for a spot on the podium. The Australian Unity Tour de Brisbane has a goal of raising over 5600 hours of medical research for organ transplants, heart disease, lung disease, dementia and mental health.

In groups of six, children will be taught to ride with confidence and transition from training wheels.

Price: Free Entry

Are you looking to get into BMX? This session will teach BMX riders how to ride safely. A safe and suitable BMX bike, a helmet and closed in footwear must be supplied by the rider.

Riders will be given the opportunity to complete a 42km bike ride from Wulkuraka to Fernvale in a safe and supportive environment.

Held at Mount Cotton, the event is open to riders from all backgrounds and ages. Start and finish times are flexible, allowing riders to complete the course without the stress.
