Australia Post’s new stamp collection set to excite Disney fans

A little bit of magic could be coming to you in your next parcel delivered. 

Australia Post is jumping on board Disney's 100-year celebrations with a new collection that is set to get die-hard fans and collectors excited. 

Expect a little bit of magic added to your next parcel delivery because some of our favourite characters from much-loved Disney classics will be added to stamps being sent around the country. 

Australia Post will have four stamps available for people to use and collect.

Disney characters set to appear on Australia Post stamps

If you're a fan of Disney classics, you're going to love the offering of heroes featured on the special stamps - each one appropriately given to a part of Australia that makes sense to them. 

Finding Nemo's Nemo takes centre stage as the main man for Sydney, while The Little Mermaid's Ariel can be seen in the image for the Great Barrier Reef. 

Kanga and Roo from Winnie The Poo can be seen hopping around their natural habitat in a stamp for the Red Centre and of course Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse are on the image for Victoria's Great Ocean Road.

The collaboration is to celebrate Disney's 100 years this year and the designer behind the range has revealed she hopes the range will inspire little Disney lovers to collect stamps as she did as a child. 

"Collaborating with two beloved brands like Disney and Australia Post is one of my childhood dreams realised – and it makes it an even bigger career and personal highlight for me since it is also Disney's 100th anniversary," Tara Stone, Product Development Manager at The Walt Disney Company Australia & New Zealand, shared. 

“I am so excited to be able to help bring to life this range of stamps featuring fan-favourite Disney characters while also showcasing the beautiful Australian environment using bold colours and iconic locations."

Australia Post Executive General Manager Retail Catriona Noble is also excited for little hands to get a hold of the fun stamp collection.

“Generations of Australians have grown up with Disney, from the early days of cinema and television through to today," she said.

"We’re delighted to celebrate our favourite Disney characters with a touch of Aussie flair in this latest commemorative stamp collection. Disney’s official 100-year celebration is on 16 October, and we hope all Australians find their inner-child and celebrate their favourite characters for this special occasion."

How to collect the new Disney stamps
