Aussie baffled after receiving 'confusing' Maccas burger

"This makes no sense at all."

Macca's hack to 'end civilisation'

A post on Reddit's r/Australia forum has gone viral for a bizarre cheeseburger order that appears to have gone extremely wrong.

The post, titled, "Maccas... I'd rather have robotic workers; WTF is this," was shared by the confused customer after they opened their takeaway delivery.

It showed a photo of two McDonald's burgers with an abnormally large amount of sliced cheese, likely around 10 slices, all stacked together and towering over the patties.

"This makes no sense at all"

The post has amassed over 1.8k upvotes, and 650 comments have flooded in, with users questioning whether this was real or just a prank.

The top comment read: "Having worked at Maccas, not even the dumbest people I know who have worked there would have done this.

"I am going to assume there was extra cheese added to the burgers. Cause this makes no sense at all."

Others weren't so sure. One comment suggested: "100% the correct order that OP ordered so they could make this post."

"This must be AI-generated," someone else wrote.

Then one user pointed out that if the poster did, in fact, order all that extra cheese, "there's no other way they could have served it."

"I mean you’ve literally ordered a block of cheese on your burger with everything else being standard. What else would it look like?" they argued.

"Really putting the cheese in cheeseburger," another quipped.

"Literally a quarter pound of cheese," someone else laughed.

"I'd still take a bite"

Meanwhile, others said that they weren't even put off by the artery-blocking burger.

"Not going to lie, I'd still take a bite," one admitted.

"Me too, I'll always be happy with MORE cheese," someone replied.

"A bite? This is my new go-to order," a second revealed.

So, what was the order exactly?

To set the record straight, the OP provided some extra detail in the comments to prove it wasn't fake.

"To those people who think I order 10 slices of cheese or AI-generated my cheesy burgers..." they began.

"I order two triple cheeseburgers via Maccas app, every time I order from Pascoe Vale Maccas there is always something wrong with my order, but this takes the cake, " the Melbournian added, alongside a photo of the receipt showing the order they described.

"It seems we can’t just have a laugh together, it was a simple post to show how shocked and surreal it was when I saw these bad boys and yeah I was annoyed because I was hungry and no I didn’t eat these cholesterol monsters!

"This isn’t rage bait, karma generating or whatever theory you’re thinking, see the photo if you don't believe me and see the grill slip (timestamp included)."

The customer was refunded for the two burgers.
