'Ate the whole packet': ALDI fans swear by this half-price Tim Tams dupe

These delicious chocolatey biscuits hold a special place in our hearts, whether we enjoy them during our 3 pm coffee break or as an after-dinner treat.

And now, a shopper has claimed to have found something even better than the original… for half the price.

So naturally, people were going to have opinions.

The ALDI dupe giving Tim Tams a run for their money

Taking to Facebook, an ALDI customer told fellow fans that she had found a ‘dupe’ that gave Arnott’s a run for their money.

"Whoever likes Tim Tams, buy the ALDI version. They are heaps better," they said.

The product in question is the Belmont Biscuit Co. Just Divine Milk Chocolate Biscuits, which are priced at just $2.19 and contain 11 biscuits, equivalent to the amount in Tim Tams, which are priced at $5 at Coles and Woolworths.

In the comment section, other shoppers in on the secret echoed the poster’s thoughts. 

"Yeah, I love them more, too," agreed one. 

"My kids refuse the Arnott's ones now they have tried the ALDI one," one mum revealed.

"100% agree! Same as the ALDI brand mint slice," a third ALDI-goer wrote. 

"We like them more, too," a fourth chimed in.

"My partner literally just finished a whole packet in one sitting as I was reading this. They are very nice," another person admitted.

"A straight up lie"

However, some loyal Tim Tam fans came to the defence of the OG brand, with one person saying: "Each to their own but Arnott’s Tim Tams are 100% better - they are good for a cheap chocolate fix."

"I'm sorry, but that's a straight-up lie, haha," said a second. "No one thinks that, for real."

"I love a lot of ALDI dupes but these 'Tim Tams'" aren't it at all," they added.

"No way, nothing compares to proper Tim Tams," yet another person said. 

"I’ve very faithful to the original," someone else revealed, "you can’t beat them."
