Latest data from realestate.com.au shows more residents are flocking to Queensland, with the population growth rate above pre-Covid levels
This growth is largely attributed to the affordability of Queensland real estate.
Leanne Druery, a real estate agent from RE/MAX says her local market in Mackay is extremely affordable and is still considered to be a strong market post-Covid.
“What we’re seeing is there are affordable properties on the market for sale.” Leanne said.
“We’ve got a really lovely spread of young singles purchasing … but also some really lovely families entering the market for the first time which is really exciting.”
“Mackay is such a beautiful friendly community … we’ve got affordable living, we’ve got tourism on our doorstep … and we have great national parks and the Great Barrier Reef at our fingertips.”
The latest data from CoreLogic shows that regional Queensland is one of only a few regions in the country that recorded an increase in annual sales volumes over the September to December 2022 quarter.
