MAFS’ strongest pair are reportedly headed for an explosive fall, with one of them admitting to doing something “disgusting” and “unacceptable”.

MAFS: Husband's shocking admission about punch at dinner

Married At First Sight’s strongest couple is reportedly headed for a massive fall.

Perth-based Carina and Paul, who are paired on this season of the Channel 9 series, have proved to be one of the most solid matches thus far, but relations are set to turn sour with a bombshell revelation to air at Wednesday’s dinner party.

After Tuesday’s episode, a teaser showed a distressed-looking Paul saying to cameras, “I’m going to admit to everyone what I’ve done. I did something that I absolutely regret. It’s unacceptable, it’s disgusting, and I was hating myself for doing this.”

Now, multiple reports suggest his angst was the result of a fiery confrontation which broke out at their Sydney apartment.

During filming, Paul is said to have punched a wall at the home they shared, which was reportedly so forceful it damaged the structure.

The Daily Mail claims Paul’s outburst happened after he learned his bride had previously slept with US rapper Quavo before she began filming the reality show.

Carina reportedly made the confession during a boozy day out at Circular Quay with the rest of the cast.

Fellow bride Morena lifted the lid on the drama on the MAFS Funny podcast recently, teasing that viewers would see “a different side to Paul.”

“When I left on the fourth week I was in a coffee shop and Paul happened to come in. He’d been crying, not just a bit – a lot,” she said.

“[I said to him] ‘You’re so lucky, you can go back to France. And I think that’s what you’re going to have to do’.”

While the current status of Paul and Carina’s relationship is unclear, with filming officially wrapping in December, Paul recently celebrated his 31st birthday in Sydney, where Carina was noticeably absent.

His MAFS co-stars Adrian, Eliot and Tony were all in attendance.

Things initially got off to a rocky start for Paul and Carina, who had briefly dated prior to signing up for MAFS.

As their wedding ceremony, which aired in January, finished up, viewers watched as Carina disappeared off camera to talk to a producer.

“What the f**k? Am I gonna get a different guy or what?” she whispered. “Is there a different option? I know him. For f**k’s sake.”

She went on to explain how, months prior, Paul had ghosted her.

“We matched eight months ago. FaceTimed and messaged and then we went on a hike. But then he just stopped texting,” she said.

Despite that, the pair managed to forge a strong connection in the first few weeks of the experiment.
