TikTok star Tasha Paige faces backlash for inappropriate funeral speech

OnlyFans and TikTok star Tasha Paige is under fire for a controversial, inebriated speech at the funeral of fellow influencer Veruca Salt’s infant son, igniting a major online feud.

Gold Coast’s OnlyFans and TikTok star Tasha Paige is at the centre of a major online controversy following the surfacing of a highly controversial speech she made at the funeral of fellow TikTok star Veruca Salt’s infant son, Cash.

The backlash erupted this week after an online feud between the two content creators, initiated by Paige, escalated when Salt shared a video of an allegedly intoxicated Paige making an inappropriately sexualised speech at the funeral held in February.

The drama unfolded when Paige posted a TikTok video earlier this week expressing disappointment that Salt, whose real name is Kimberly Summer Hartley, did not thank her for gifts sent during her baby shower last year.

This led Salt to publicly respond, accusing Paige of ruining her son’s funeral and questioning why she would seek to start an online dispute.

Salt’s son, Cash, tragically passed away at two months old due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) in February.

In a heartfelt Instagram post shared on Salt’s secondary account @verucaunleashed on August 6, Salt detailed her distress over Paige’s actions at the funeral and recent attempt to start an online feud, revealing a series of concerning messages and videos.

“You guys, I’m honestly so upset. Tomorrow is 6 months since my son died and for some reason, this girl still wants to make it about her. I don’t talk about my baby or my grief online anymore because it gets twisted into something even more ugly. I genuinely cannot believe she has the nerve to even utter my name online,” Salt wrote.

The controversy continued when Salt shared a text message from Paige apologising for her ‘drunk’ behaviour at the funeral.

“I’m sorry for getting so drunk yesterday. I think the lack of food & shots etc knocked me on my a*s. I’m sorry if I was inappropriate or insensitive in any way as it wasn’t my intention,” Paige said in the message sent in February.

Salt’s Instagram posts also included a video of Paige’s now-infamous speech, where she made a series of inappropriate comments, including, “may he live with like forever lasting p**sy and peace” and “he is the most f*cking baddie attention man that will ever be on Gold Coast”.

Salt made claims of further troubling behaviour, including Paige allegedly posting a TikTok video about the event without prior consent.

Salt criticised Paige’s choice of attire for the funeral, accusing her of wearing a mini skirt and exposing her underwear.

“Maybe your next baby funeral, you cannot wear a mini skirt and show the entire world your pink underwear,” Salt wrote on her Instagram post.

The video sparked outrage across social media, with many criticising Paige for her inappropriate remarks at such a solemn event for a baby.

“lots of things don’t seem to matter to you tasha! like basic human decency,” one commenter wrote, while another said “Tasha you did the one thing you were asked not to do, own your sh! t”.

In response to the backlash, Paige, who boasts over 136,000 followers on Instagram, defended herself in a TikTok video, stating that she was dealing with her own recent abortion, which caused her emotional strain.

“I ended up going through and getting an abortion, once I had the abortion I had a lot of emotions that I obviously was subconsciously not aware about”, she said on her tiktok video.

“And those things kind of don’t come up until you’re put into a situation where it kind of reminds you or triggers those emotions to come back up”.

“I got drunk obviously, I got so emotional – because I was letting out all the emotions from my abortion.”

“And apparently I accidentally flashed my pink undies, I am human, I am an adult, I made a mistake.”

Paige, has yet to make a public apology addressing the specifics of her speech.
