Warning: Spoilers ahead for Succession season 3, episode 3 ‘The Disruption’

Just when you thought the Roy family couldn’t take their war any further, a giant bomb is detonated by the least likely candidate.

We pick up as Logan (Brian Cox) is preparing for Waystar Royco’s Town Hall event. Not ideal timing to open yourself up to questions from disgruntled employees, mere days after Kendall (Jeremy Strong) gave an explosive press conference throwing his dad under the bus, and thus, the company into utter chaos.

Will Kendall make a shock appearance? After Shiv (Sarah Snook) susses him out, she doesn’t think so. Great. Logan can control the narrative and rally employees.

In the meantime, he is desperate for Shiv and Roman (Kieran Culkin) to publicly denounce Kendall. They’re both iffy about it and remain Switzerland.

While Logan’s camp is busy thinking about what they’re going to say at the town hall, Kendall becomes obsessed with take-down media stories about himself.

Logan is desperate for Shiv and Roman’s support.

Glowing editorials, searing editorials; He doesn’t care. He deems himself “part of the conversation” and he’s living for it.

He’s on top of the world. So much so, at the last minute, he spontaneously decides to hit up the Waystar Town Hall.

Can you imagine the thrill of being banned from work and bailing up the office, blissfully ignoring pleas from security and reception staff not to enter, all because your dad owns the joint and what’s he gonna do? Ground you?

A cap-wearing Kendall does just this, bowling into Waystar HQ while the poor receptionist lady whose probably on $US45,000 per annum loosely attempts to tell him he’s not allowed in.

After his pass is denied, Kendall threatens to jump the gate and he’s ultimately let in by senior staff in order to avoid a scene.

Big mistake. Huge.

Inside the building, Waystar’s new domestic president, Shiv, is prepared to deliver a statement explaining how Waystar Royco will handle the serious criminal allegations - including sexual assault - in the company’s cruise division.

“A senior executive at Waystar, who also happens to be a senior brother of mine, has made some serious allegations. We have taken those allegations seriously. There’s a fair amount we can’t talk about legally, however, this is still a family operation in spirit …” Shiv begins, before a deep guitar strum begins to swell across the room.

A taken aback Shiv tries to keep talking, but the music intensifies into full blown rock. Which song you ask?

Rape Me. Rape Me, by Nirvana, is blasting across the auditorium as Shiv is attempting to address sexual assault allegations.

She flees the stage and makes a dash for Kendall’s office, where she discovers a bunch of cardboard boxes for the speakers. She spits in his diary before finally committing to her dads side.

Kendall: Hey Siri play Rape Me by Nirvana.

Shiv calls on brothers Roman and Connor (Alan Ruck) to sign a press release she’s drafted, dubbing Kendall a “drug addict” and a “serial liar” who has “his own history of problematic relations with women.”

It’s below the belt and honestly unexpected from Shiv.

Roman and Connor reject to sign the release, but Shiv still fires the rocket on her own.

Meanwhile, Kendall is 15 minutes off going on a live comedy show when he sees the release. For the first time since he started this war, he looks deeply distressed.

He’s in damage control. He’s trying to convince producers not to bring up the press release. They basically laugh at him.

He flops onto the floor in the control room and is on the verge of tears.

Just when you think Logan may be edging back to the top of this nasty fight, the FBI plays their card.

Gerri frantically informs Logan that a team of 20 federal agents are downstairs at Waystar HQ and they’re waving a search warrant.

“Tell them to f**k off,” Logan says. Classic Logan.

“Yeah these are the ones who don’t f**k off,” Gerri adds.

With a swarm of cameras out the front of the building, Logan realises resistance is not the answer.

“Co-operate. Open up. Let them in,” he says.

Kendall sees the news flash on his phone and all of a sudden his frown slowly turns upside down.
