Big Brother star Colin is head over heels for a girl who can’t remember his name - and his resulting breakdown has viewers worried.

Big Brother contestant Colin’s relationship with fellow housemate Holly appears to have soured just as quickly as it started, with viewers worried Colin is “spiralling” after he broke down during Monday night’s episode.

The first housemate to be voted out, Michael, had a parting shot for the pair in a video played to the other contestants after he was voted out of the competition in Sunday night’s episode.

“Holly, well done for your fake relationship with Colin,” he said. “We all know that relationship will not last until halfway down the eviction runway. I do think you played the game. I don’t think you’re into Colin at all. Like, literally at all.”

Those words seem to stick with Colin, and in Monday night’s episode, he was shown breaking down in the diary room as he voiced his insecurities about his budding romance with model Holly, who at 31 is 10 years his senior.

“If I saw her in the street, she wouldn’t even look at me.”

“I can’t even comprehend why she’d like me … If something’s too good to be true, it usually is, right? I can’t think of any girl off the top of my head that would run to me. Why would it be her? Why would it be the model? Why would it be the most beautiful girl that I’ve seen in my life?” he asked. When Big Brother asked Colin why he felt that way, he responded: “Look at me, bro. I’m a goof, I’m silly. If I saw her out on the street and tried to wave at her, she wouldn’t even look at me. That’s just a fact.”

“I knew it was probably too good to be true, so it just makes me feel stupid I didn’t listen to myself.”

A sobbing Colin ended his diary room visit by saying he just wanted to talk to his mum.

It’s the second time so far this season the young aspiring MMA fighter has been shown sobbing inconsolably in the diary room – the first was when he was selected as the least intelligent housemate in a ranking task.

His second emotional breakdown in a matter of days had some viewers concerned.

“He just keeps spiralling more and more and I think someone needs to intervene,” one viewer wrote.

“We love men that can show emotion but this is ridiculous. She is not good for his self esteem,” said another.

“I feel this isn’t good at all for anyone’s mental health,” said another viewer.

They’ve gone from loved-up...

...to permanently arguing.

Later on in the episode, Colin confronted Holly about his concerns for their budding romance – among them, that she has repeatedly forgotten his name, mistaking him for fellow housemate Connor.

“My gut tells me something’s off, because so many people have said the exact same thing …” he began, explaining that several contestants had advised him he might have stronger feelings for Holly than she does for him.

But he still wore his heart on his sleeve, telling Holly: “I really, really, really, really, really care about you.”

Holly asked him if he didn’t see any of the ways that she showed her care for him in the house.

“Learning my name would be a real cool first step to that,” was Colin’s response, before he excused himself from the situation.

Talking about the situation in the diary room, Holly made the same mistake again, repeatedly referring to her house romance with “Connor” rather than Colin.
