Schitt’s Creek star Noah Reid, better known as the charming Patrick Brewer, is bringing his musical talents to Brisbane for the first time as part of his ‘Everything Is Fine’ tour.
After stealing the hearts of fans on the multi-award-winning Canadian television sitcom, Reid is prepared to serenade Australia with his powerful vocals and soulful melodies.
Audiences worldwide caught a glimpse of his musical talent during Schitt’s Creek’s fourth season when Reid delivered a touching rendition of Tina Turner’s ‘The Best.’
Now, Brisbane audiences will have the chance to experience the actors’ artistry in a more intimate setting when the actor turned singer performs at Eatons Hill Hotel, 646 S Pine Rd, Eatons Hill, on September 30.
The Canadian will showcase tracks from his three highly acclaimed albums: ‘Songs from a Broken Chair’ (2016), ’Gemini’ (2020), and ’Adjustments’ (2022).
Reid shared his excitement about bringing his music, which has been compared to 1970s singer-songwriters but with a modern twist, to Australia and is eager to challenge the public perception of him as solely an actor by showcasing his music during his upcoming tour.
“People might know me more widely as an actor, but music is a space where I’ve loved working for years, and I’m really excited to finally be able to share my music with people in Australia. It feels like a long time coming,” he said.
Though Reid has found incredible success as an actor, including a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Ensemble alongside his Schitt’s Creek castmates, he sees music as a space where he can truly express his creativity.
“Music has always been a space where I get to control my creative output in a way that I don’t in my acting career,” Reid shared.
“Acting is really creative and there’s definitely artistry to it but I don’t think that, just because you’re an actor, you’re automatically an artist. I’ve worked really hard for years to create these records.”
With more than 180 million streams, two nominations at the 2022 Canadian Folk Music Awards and appearances on four Billboard charts, Reid has proven that he is more than just a loveable face on a hit TV show.
