Hollywood heavyweights Russell Crowe, Robbie Williams, and Henry Cavill are among the stars confirmed to take centre stage at the 2025 AACTA Awards, set to deliver a touch of international glamour to the Gold Coast next month.
Crowe, an Academy Award winner and president of the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA), has been unveiled as the host of the glittering ceremony at HOTA on Friday, February 7, stepping into the role previously held by Rebel Wilson in 2024.
Adding to the star power is British superstar Robbie Williams, who will perform his global hit “Angels” during the show.
Williams, whose new biopic Better Man has racked up a record 16 nominations, said he’s “incredibly honoured” to be invited down under for the big night.
“The Better Man movie is something I’m extremely proud of. For this movie to be embraced by the AACTA membership, with a record-breaking 16 AACTA Award nominations, is a very special moment for me,” he said.
“I can’t wait to celebrate with everyone down under soon — it’s going to be an unforgettable night!”
The event will also see Australian music legend Paul Kelly honoured with the inaugural AACTA Award for Outstanding Contribution.
Kelly, whose music has long been intertwined with Australian cinema, will perform his iconic ballad “How to Make Gravy,” following the success of its recent film adaptation.
Joining the star-studded line-up are international sensation Henry Cavill, Australian screen legends Guy Pearce and David Wenham, comedic powerhouse Kitty Flanagan, acclaimed actor Teresa Palmer, and visionary filmmaker Dr. George Miller, all set to present awards on the night.
“The AACTA Awards are set to be a massive celebration of Australian film & televisions,” AACTA CEO Damian Trewhella said.
“There is so much talent in this country, Russell Crowe as a marvellous host … and music is such a big feature this year.”
The 2025 AACTA Awards will air on Channel 10 at 6.30pm AEST on February 7, with an extended broadcast available on BINGE and Foxtel on February 8.
