Eddie Vedder to tour solo after Big Day Out, no Pearl Jam side shows though

PEARL Jam won't be playing any side shows during their headlining run with the Big Day Out but frontman Eddie Vedder has announced a solo tour at the festival's end.
Fans of the Seattle rockers and Bruce Springsteen are now speculating about the possibility of Vedder joining the Boss for a cameo or two during their respective February tours.
Vedder's solo tour is expected to sell out quickly next week with his concerts in March 2011 among some of the finest shows in Australia that year.

The revered rocker and keen surfer has enjoyed a love affair with Australia not only with its music fans and musicians but also its beaches.
His solo career started with soundtrack contributions to films by his mate Sean Penn, followed by the award-winning music for the Into The Wild movie.
He followed that up with the acclaimed Ukelele Songs album.
Vedder performs at the Riverside Theatre, Perth on February 7 and 8, State Theatre on February 11 and Sydney Opera House on February 13, Palais Theatre, Melbourne on February 16 and 18 and QPAC Concert Hall, Brisbane on February 22 and 23.
