PLAYER PAIRINGS
These are the couples who both play or have played in the league, representing teams in the NRL and NRLW.
Jaxson Paulo and Taliah Fuimaono
Making it ‘Instagram official’ in June 2023, Manly Warringah Sea Eagles winger Jaxson Paulo and Gold Coast Titans player Taliah Fuimaono are a confirmed couple.
The 25-year-old NRLW player and her 24-year-old partner regularly post photos of one another on their social media, supporting each other at games and travelling together.
Fuimaono recently played for the NSW Sky Blues in the 2024 Women’s State of Origin, with Paulo signed with the Sea Eagles until the end of 2026.
Millie Boyle and Adam Elliott
One of the league’s favourite couples, Adam and Millie Elliott (nee Boyle) began dating in 2021 and officially tied the knot in October 2023.
Millie, a three-time premiership winning prop for the Sydney Roosters and Adam, a 29-year-old lock for the Newcastle Knights were famously discovered fraternising in a Gold Coast restaurant bathroom in 2021 with Adam fined $10,000 by the league for the incident.
The pair married in Shoal Bay and celebrated their nuptials by jumping off a pier into the ocean while fully clothed.
Jessica Sergis and Tommy Talau
Sydney Roosters centre Jessica Sergis and Manly Sea Eagles new recruit Tommy Talau are the newest ‘glamour couple’ of the NRL, unofficially announcing their relationship on social media in January 2024.
The 24-year-old son of Willie Talau and the 26-year-old Sky Blues representative player post photos together supporting each other on the field and hanging out at the beach.
Kade Dykes and Andie Robinson
Together for more than five years, Andie Robinson and Kade Dykes are one of the most loved up couples of the NRL, both currently playing for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.
The two 22-year-olds actively post on their social media accounts, posting photos of their time away from the league as well as when they both put on their blue Cronulla jerseys.
The pair recently went to Hamilton Island together, sharing photos by the beach on their Instagram.
Georgia Hale and Sam Lisone
A couple both having previously played for the same clubs, 28-year-old Georgia Hale and 30-year-old Sam Lisone have been in a relationship for more than five years, travelling around the world together and supporting one another’s sporting careers.
The Captain of the NRLW’s Gold Coast Titans team, Hale, met the former Warriors and Titans prop in New Zealand prior to 2020 and have been loved up ever since.
The couple most recently travelled around Europe together while Lisone played in the U.K. Leeds Rhinos side in Super League.
In 2023, Hale won the Women’s Golden Boot Award for best female rugby league player in the world.
Kimiora and Brittany Breayley-Nati
A true rugby league love story, Kimiora and Brittany Breyley-Nati ‘fell in love at first sight’ after both playing in the same colours in 2018 when the pair won the NRLW Grand Final together with the Brisbane Broncos.
Mackay-born Brittany, the inaugural captain of the Gold Coast Titans and Kimiora, a New Zealand native and five-eighth have two children together and have played alongside each other in the Broncos, Dragons and Titans sides since 2018.
Tiana Penitani and Aaron Gray
After knowing each other since they were kids competing in South Maroubra nippers together, Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks captain Tiana Penitani and former South Sydney player Aaron Gray officially tied the knot in 2022.
Reconnecting through mutual friends in 2014, 28-year-old Penitani and 30-year-old Gray have been in a relationship for a decade, with Penitani calling Gray one of her biggest supporters.
LOVERS IN THE LEAGUE
These loved up couples include pairings who met inside the NRL, despite one of them having a role inside the NRL that’s off the field.
Isabelle Kelly and Jake Callister
Captain of the Sydney Roosters NRLW team, 27-year-old Isabelle Kelly is married to the strength and conditioning coach for the Sydney Roosters, Jake Callister.
The Roosters skipper married Callister in the Hunter Valley in 2020, with both of them still working with the Sydney club.
Johnathan and Samantha Thurston
Together for close to two decades, Johnathan and Samantha Thurston (nee Lynch) first met in 2007 on Valentine’s Day while Samantha was working with the North Queensland Cowboys as a sponsorship manager.
After hitting it off at Heritage Bar in Townsville, Samantha spent time with the record-breaking point-scorer and four-time Dally M Medallist on sponsorship trips before beginning to date in secret.
The pair later married in a secret ceremony on Hamilton Island in 2015 and now have four children together, three girls and one boy.
Cooper Cronk and Tara Rushton
A sporting couple that have both been developing their careers in commentary, former Roosters halfback and two-time Dally M Medallist Cooper Cronk and Ten Sport journalist Tara Rushton have been together since 2016.
Working as a presenter for Fox Football, Paramount Plus and Ten Sport, Rushton married the four-time NRL premiership winner in 2017, two years before he retired from the league and began commentating with Fox himself.
The couple have two kids together named Lennox and Harley.
Kirra Dibb and Holly Langford
Co-captain of the North Queensland Cowboys NRLW team, Kirra Dibb recently celebrated her one year anniversary with her girlfriend, current Manly Warringah Seabird and former Bachelorette contestant Holly Langford.
Formerly cheerleading for the Sydney Roosters, Holly Langford started dating the 26-year-old five-eighth in April 2023.
The pair support each other at each other’s on-field appearances, both with Dibb as a player for the Cowboys and NSW Sky Blues and for Langford as a cheerleader for the Sea Eagles.
The couple also recently travelled to Egypt together.
CROSS-CODE COUPLES
Not every NRL star looks to their fellow players for a match. Here are some of the NRL players who are coupled up with sports stars outside of rugby league.
Tanah Boyd and Jacqui Yorston
A sporting power couple, Gold Coast Titans halfback Tanah Boyd has been dating Port Adelaide AFLW star Jacqui Yorston since 2018, with the pair recently announcing they are expecting the birth of a baby boy in September 2024.
Formerly playing with the AFLW sides for Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Yorston met Boyd while both were playing for their respective Gold Coast teams and were engaged in October 2023.
The pair spend their time off the field together, including holidaying in Hawaii and hanging out with their adorable pup, Alfie.
Jordan Ngarimu and Tino Fa’asumaleaui
Captain for the Gold Coast Titans Tino Fa’asumaleaui has been with his partner, former netballer for the Gold Coast Titans netball team, Jordan Ngarimu, since 2016.
The high school sweethearts both live together on the Gold Coast with their daughters Alina and Gia, with Ngarimu retiring from professional netball when she fell pregnant with their second child.
Nathan Cleary and Mary Fowler
Perhaps the most popular Aussie sporting power couple of 2024, Penrith Panthers captain and halfback Nathan Cleary and Matildas star Mary Fowler went public with their relationship in November last year after speculation from fans.
While keeping relatively private about their relationship, the couple occasionally post photos together on their social media accounts.
Fowler was also recently honoured by Mattel with her very own line of Barbie dolls.
