Some keen fans have gone so far as to create ‘thirst trap’ TikTok accounts for their favourite players, posting edited videos showcasing their NRL crushes.

CONFIRMED BACHELORS

The following Qld NRL players have recently been reported single.

Reece Walsh

One of the most talked about players in the league, Brisbane Broncos fullback Reece Walsh is reportedly single.

Teammate Patrick Carrigan revealed in October, 2023, that Reece Walsh was among the single team members, after previously being in a relationship with Freda Puru, the mother of his daughter.

Walsh made his NRL debut with the New Zealand Warriors in 2021 and recently suffered a facial fracture in a head clash between him and Taylan May in a match against the Penrith Panthers.

Adored by many, Walsh’s fans have created TikTok accounts dedicated to solely posting ‘Walshy edits’ - clips of the 21-year-old player walking in slow motion.

Born in Southport, Walsh spends his time away from the field with his daughter, Leila, and his German shepherd Moana.

Blake Mozer

From Keebra Park State High to playing as a hooker for the Brisbane Broncos, 19-year-old Blake Mozer is the Queensland team’s newest addition and newest eligible bachelor.

Off the field, Mozer lives on the Gold Coast and enjoys playing golf, playing chess, vintage shopping, and spending time with friends including former teammate and current roommate Keenan Palasia.

Mozer’s Facebook relationship status is ‘Single’.

Jordan Riki

Born and raised in New Zealand, Jordan Riki is a second-row forward for the Brisbane Broncos as well as one of the league’s biggest heart-throbs.

With thousands of videos on TikTok dedicated to the 24-year-old player, Riki featured in The Courier Mail’s online series Tiny Edition where 11-year-old NRL fan Sophie Fraser asked him the question everyone had been thinking “How do you feel about half the girls on Queensland having a crush on you?”.

Off the field, Riki spends time with his family back in New Zealand, attends music festivals and travels the world.

Riki confirmed his single relationship status recently on TikTok, commenting on a fan’s video claiming that “It has been confirmed by a close source that Jordan Riki and his girlfriend are getting serious”.

Riki left a single emoji “🧢” which translates to “cap” or “a lie” in popular internet slang.

Patrick ‘Patty’ Carrigan

Formerly dating Nine News sport presenter Bronte Gildea, Brisbane Broncos lock Patrick ‘Patty’ Carrigan is on the market.

Born in Brisbane, Carrigan graduated with an Honours degree in physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in 2019, the same year he made his NRL debut with the Brisbane Broncos.

The 2022 winner of the Wally Lewis Medal, the 26-year-old Broncos vice-captain is also of interest on TikTok, with one account analysing his birth chart and star signs to measure their astronomical compatibility.

Carrigan confirmed he was single in October, 2023.

Jayden Campbell

Born in Cessnock, NSW and raised on the Gold Coast, Jayden Campbell is a fullback for the Gold Coast Titans, following in his father’s footsteps, Preston, the first player to sign with the club when it was established in 2005.

The 24-year-old former Helensvale State High student has appeared in 43 matches and has become the latest player adored by fans on social media.

In his life outside of the NRL, Campbell can be found on the beaches of the Gold Coast, at music festivals or adding a new piece to his tattoo collection.

Campbell’s relationship status on Facebook is currently ‘Single’.

Jock Madden

A halfback for the Brisbane Broncos, 24-year-old Jock Madden was confirmed ‘single’ by teammate Patty Carrigan in October, 2023.

Originally from Scone in the Hunter region of NSW, Madden made his NRL debut with the West Tigers in 2021 before transferring to the Brisbane team in 2023 where he remains today.

Broncos coach Kevin Walters has compared Madden’s mentality and eagerness to play to Tom Brady, stating he is “a really humble kid” and “definitely the future of our club”.

Semi Valemei

A proud Fijian, raised in the remote town of Navidamu on the island of Vanua Levu, Semi Valemei is a winger for the North Queensland cowboys after making is NRL debut with the Canberra Raiders in 2020.

The 25-year-old Townsville local describes himself on his Instagram as a “fisher and a farmer” and is extremely close with his family and his Fijian culture.

Valemei has made 38 appearances in matches since beginning his career in the NRL and has set his Facebook relationship status as ‘Single’.

Reed Mahoney

Originally from the Sunshine Coast, Reed Mahoney is a hooker for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs as well as a former Beerwah State High School student.

Mahoney made his NRL debut in 2018, first playing for the Parramatta Eels before moving clubs to Canterbury where he was the 2023 on field co-captain with Matt Burton.

Now predominantly based in Sydney, the Sunshine Coast-raised player is an ambassador for Giant Steps, an organisation supporting children and adults on the autism spectrum.

Mahoney has marked his relationship status on Facebook as ‘Single’.

POTENTIAL BACHELORS

Keenan Palasia

Recently signing with the Gold Coast Titans, 27-year-old Keenan Palasia is a Gold Coast local of Samoan and Maori descent.

The former Palm Beach-Currumbin High student worked as a teller at the Bank of Queensland before starting his playing career in 2019 with the Brisbane Broncos.

Palasia lives with his roommate and ex team-member Blake Moozer after formerly living with fellow NRL players Pat Carrigan and Brendan Piakura.

Palasia’s biggest inspiration is his mother, Carly, who had him when she was 18-years-old.

Out of rugby league, Palasia spends time with friends and his pet kelpie dingo cross named Ramen.

Jesse Arthars

Originally from New Zealand, Jesse Arthars is a centre for the Brisbane Broncos who is reportedly single.

Recently returning to the Brisbane side, Arthars made his NRL debut with the Gold Coast Titans in 2019 and played with the New Zealand Warriors on loan for 2022.

Living on the Gold Coast, the 25-year-old enjoys gold, basketball, surfing and skiing.

Robert Derby

A former student of St Augustine’s College in Cairns, Robert Derby is a Papua New Guinea-born rugby league player who recently made his NRL debut with the North Queensland Cowboys in 2023.

Now based in Townsville, Derby has admirers not only in Australia, but in Papa New Guinea where he previously played for the national team, garnering attention from both male and female fans who have gone on to make TikTok videos of the 22-year-old winger.
