Kelly Rowland’s Logies performance labelled a ‘trainwreck’ by fans

IT HAD all the makings of an epic Logies moment: Kelly Rowland, The Voice winner Sam Perry, and some banger tracks. But somehow, it all went very wrong.

Logies 2018: Best & Worst Dressed

KELLY Rowland is known for smashing it out of the park with her powerhouse voice.

But fans were left less than impressed after her Logies medley with Sam Perry on Sunday night, with many branding it simply “a trainwreck”.

The Voice judge and her winning contestant — who controversially introduced a loop station to his performances on the series — sang a medley of Destiny’s Child’s Survivor and her own banger When Love Takes Over.

It wasn't her best performance.

But what should have easily raised the roof instead saw it come crashing down for the duo.

Perry’s voice was like gravel in mud, while Rowland was clearly also struggling.

She aimed high with the big final note in Survivor but her voice faltered like a limp balloon. By the end of the performance, she was relying on prerecorded backing vocals and passing the mic to audience members and to help pick up the slack.

Viewers quickly took to Twitter to question what the hell was going on.
